In the exclusive setting of the Appia Antica Regional Park, Cribmed offers for rent an elegant detached villa of about 600 sqm. A stone’s throw from the Regina Viarum, it stands out for its typical Roman style. Founded in 1900 as a farmhouse pertaining to a noble Venetian family, today it is owned by a Roman family that has restored it combining the rustic character of the country house with the aesthetic value of a stately home. The property is surrounded by a majestic park of about one hectare, with a variety of lush, tall, trees and a patio area equipped with an outdoor oven and teak furniture, where you can enjoy al fresco dining. A large swimming pool with an adjoining pool house is surrounded by beautiful magnolia trees. The villa is on two levels and consists on the ground floor of a large foyer with a terracotta floor that opens onto the park and the patio. through double French doors, divided by an elegant, bucolic trompe l'oeil on the central wall. From the foyer, you enter the large and bright living room with a large, stone fireplace and various conversation areas. The ceilings of 5 meters in both the living room and the foyer are characterized by carefully restored exposed beams. On the other side of the foyer, next to the wooden staircase that leads to the sleeping area, we proceed to the large and airy dining room, with a long rectangular “fratino” table, distinguished by a row of French doors, overlooking the pool. At the other end of the dining room, is the breakfast area that opens towards the orangerie, next to which, you access the cozy and functional kitchen. In the area adjacent to the kitchen there are both an ironing/laundry room and 2 large bathrooms. On the first floor are the bedrooms, renovated in July 2021, along with 4 bathrooms, all with showers and two of which, also, with an elegant stand-alone bathtub. The restyling of the 4 rooms focuses on the choice of quality materials and on the refined use of color that recalls the floral essences and plants present in the villa’s gardens. Some vintage furnishings contribute to recreating the authentic flavor of a historic residence. The view of the rooms, overlooking the surrounding park, alternates views of the pool, a romantic pond, within the property, and the orangerie with all the varieties of citrus fruits, present in Italy. The refined details and precious materials of this house, with its ample spaces and beautiful gardens, is the ideal compromise between residential privacy and the opportunity to fully live in the Eternal City.
