Our family home is precisely located in Nuova Palocco, 35 minutes by car along via Cristoforo Colombo to the city centre and 20 minutes to the “Leonardo da Vinci Airport” (Fiumicino). A 10 minute drive to Ostia Lido beach or a 20 minute cycle. All around, the Castel Fusano pinewood is an urban park of over 2,400 acres mainly composed of domestic pine trees and local Mediterranean scrub. Residents can easily access - bike/walk distance - the selection of shops, cafes, restaurants and other local amenities offered by “Le Terrazze Shopping Centre”. A range of sport clubs, community centres, parks and playgrounds offer a variety of health and wellbeing opportunities for kids and adults. Finally, two independent international schools for 3-11 years old are in proximity, “B.I.G. British International School” and “Ostia International School”.
In this area, public transport is not the most reliable, so you definitely need a car. However, there is the 064 ATAC bus stop next to our house which can bring you to the Roma Lido railway station in Ostia Lido in 20 minutes. From this station, trains run frequently and efficiently and take 15 minutes to reach Roma Porta San Paolo/Piramide, the terminal train station connected to the Piramide Station, Rome Metro B.
