Cribmed is an online marketplace where Landlords and Tenants can meet.

What makes Cribmed so special is a Cribmed representative has visited and vetted all Verified properties listed on our site. We do not accept all properties. Only the best! We have certain requirements of properties and of Landlords to ensure our tenants will have an enjoyable stay.

Pre-Booking

What is the minimum / maximum stay for each property?

30 days is the minimum stay. Each Landlord will state their preference for a maximum stay.

What is included in the monthly rent price?

Each price advertised includes the Landlord’s rent and monthly expenses including an allotment of utilities. Bear in mind prices on most other sites quote prices just for the rent. Monthly expenses are usually extra and can vary anywhere between €150-€250+

What Down-Payment is needed to book a property?

The first month rent and the Cribmed Service fee.

What if the rental contract is not in my language?

Every client of Cribmed receives a free initial consultation with a local lawyer that speaks English, as part of our Free Gift. If you don’t need this service we also offer other great free gift options.

What language will the contract be in?

The contract will be in the language in which country the property you booked resides in. The contract is supplied by the Landlord. The main conditions that the Landlord stipulates are made visible before booking on each listing under Pricing and Conditions.

Are there any extra fees?

There could be one or some of the following: Contract Registration Fee, Tourist Tax, and Garbage Tax. Depends the property, your reason to be renting. You should enquire about each before booking.

Do I need to pay a Security Deposit?

Yes. Each Landlord decides how much. This is made clear in their Landlord’s Conditions visible before booking. If you are not sure please ask before booking.

Can I visit a property before I book?

Yes for bookings of 3 months and longer. However it also depends on the availability of the property and the current tenant’s availability.

Can I communicate with the Landlord directly before I book?

No, but if you have any questions, we can ask on your behalf.

What are Landlord’s conditions?

The Landlord’s conditions can be found on the listing page and are visible before a booking. If you are unsure of the conditions please ask either the Landlord or Cribmed before booking.

Bookings

What is the Cribmed Service Fee?

To help Cribmed run smoothly and cover the costs of services we provide, including selecting and verifying listed properties, we charge a Service Fee.

Who is responsible for doing a walk-through or condition report?

The Tenant is responsible. At Check-In you should do a walk-through with the Landlord.

When do I get my deposit back?

Like all deposits they are refunded after check out and the property has been inspected pending no damages.

What are valid issues?

Examples include the property not matching the listing, missing amenities, or maintenance problems.

When does Cribmed get involved with a Resolution Centre request?

After an Issue Pending case has been created, the landlord and tenant will have 72 hours to finalize an agreement.

What to do if I am not happy with the property when I arrive?

You have 24 hours to report an issue (until 20:00 property local time the day after check-in).

Who do I contact if I have an issue after I move in?

You should contact the Landlord directly first.

How is the Cribmed Service Fee calculated?

The Cribmed Service Fee ranges from 8% to 17% + VAT calculated on the monthly rental rate for the entire length of your stay.
